Insightful smiting staff of fortitude(req. 9 smiting prayers)
maxed dmg
energy+10
20/20 smiting skills
energy+4
hp+28

or

Smiting Rod(req. 9 smiting prayers)
maxed dmg
20% recharge smiting skills

and

Divine Symbol(req. 9 divine favor)
Energy+27
Energy reg. -1
hp +30

which would you guys suggest? or if you guys have other weapons that would benefit a smiting monk better id appreciate it

Both. -1 energy regen is too big of a hit to be using it constantly. On the other hand, if you really need mana bad and you need it fast, you can switch from your staff to your wand/focus and get a big boost (this works even better if you find a wand with +15 energy/-1 energy regen, for a boost of 28 energy over your staff).
